Black
I found my way to the theatre to watch BLACK. What a stupendous movie it is. Amazing performances by the whole crew. Take it from Ayesha to Amitabh, from Sanjay to Ravi K Chandran, it is a complete stunner. There were no songs in the film, no romantic elements, and no comedy track(though when Amitabh does magic with 'Bull Shit' everyone breaks into laughter). The story is wound around a deaf and blind girl Michelle(played by Ayesha and Rani) and his teacher Sahay(played by Amitabh). Both of them have performed very well on this meaty role. Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known to use colors has chosen Black this time.
Ravi K Chandran needs a special mention here. His work with the camera is prodigious. He is known for his cinematography in Dil Chahtha Hai, Aayudha Ezhu-th-thu and Boys. There is one scene where Shenaz(Michelle's mother) would talk to Amitabh across a glass door. If you have noticed it Amitabh would completely be captured by reflection on the glass door. That is one amazing example.
Ayesha, the debutante is from Pondycherry lives at Auroville. She has delivered a fabulous performance for a new-comer. One of my friends asked 'Is she really a deaf and blind kid?'. So is her performance. She just stuns you all through the movie with her performance.
If you have not yet watched it, please do it. This is one movie which you cannot afford to miss.

Is "black" being screened with sub-titles or dubbed to a local version?

Hi Anon,
No, I watched the original Hindi version of the movie. There weren't any subtitles at all.
